John, I just left DC after speaking outside the Department of Education.

I was there to tell Linda McMahon and the Trump administration how educators feel about their decision to dismantle the department.

I spoke out for the nearly 50 million students and (and millions of educators) in public schools put in more danger by the dismantling of gun violence prevention measures under the Dept. of Education.

No one can thrive in a classroom plagued by the threat of gun violence. The past administration prioritized gun violence prevention measures like trauma-informed drills and distributing information on secure storage. Now all that work is being erased.

Our movement cannot be silenced.
