This week, Bernie and I hit the road hard to connect with working people in California, Utah, Idaho, and Montana. We held six town halls across four states and were joined by people of all walks of life.
We started off in Los Angeles, California where we were joined by 36,000 friends including Pramila Jayapal, Ro Khanna, and Maxwell Frost. This was Bernie’s largest event ever!
Then, we went to Salt Lake City, Utah, where 20,000 folks packed an arena to fight the oligarchy:
Our next town hall was in Nampa, Idaho where 12,500+ folks turned out on a Monday night to demand a better future for all. The collective energy even made the arena shake!
Then it was onto Bakersfield, California where Bernie and I were joined by 4,450 friends — including Dolores Huerta. It’s scenes like these that scare the hell out of oligarchs like Trump and Elon:
We then went to Folsom, California where the line for the event was three miles long. 30,000 people joined us in Folsom, CA — with a population of just 85,000 — in Republican Kevin Kiley’s district.
Our final town hall of the week took us to Missoula, Montana. Missoula has a population of just 77,757 and 9,000+ folks came out to rally with Bernie and I.
All over this country, in both Democratic and Republican districts, people are ready to fight back and defend our democracy. They deserve leaders who will stand with them.
This isn’t Trump’s country. It’s our country.
Working people are coming together to fight for the future of our democracy and country.
We’re hoping to hold more town halls soon but it takes major resources to put on events of this size across different states.
Thank you so much,
Alexandria
