The fight we’ve been preparing for to save NPR and PBS is HERE.

Trump is about to send a proposal to Congress that would ENTIRELY defund NPR and PBS. Congress will have 45 days to take a simple up / down vote – and Trump is already busy spreading lies to get Republicans on board.

Our Revolution is NOT going to let this happen – we’ve already sent tens of thousands of letters to Congress and rallied twice outside of NPR HQ.

For Trump, this attack on our public media isn’t just about killing Sesame Street or saving money. Funding for our public media costs each taxpayer just $1.60 per year.

This is about silencing independent journalism, enriching corporate media giants over public interest, and gutting vital educational and cultural programming. If he succeeds, local stations are sounding the alarm that they could quickly be forced off the air, especially in rural areas where public media stations may be the last locally-owned broadcasters in their communities.

It’s NOT a popular move. A recent poll found that only 24% of adults believe the government should stop funding public media – and now it’s up to us to make sure Congress hears that message loud and clear.

Already, Our Revolution has been working tirelessly with our partners Free Press, ACLU, and NABET to run attention-grabbing demonstrations, channel enormous pressure onto Congress, and activate our Citizen Action Team across the country.

Now, we’re scrambling to launch emergency grassroots mobilizations, organize high-profile public actions, and flood key lawmakers with pressure. Our powerful network of activists has successfully fought off attacks like this before, and we're ready to do it again – but it’s going to take all of us.
