Dear John,
Congress is set to use a legislative procedure called “reconciliation” to extend massive tax cuts for billionaires that were enacted in 2017 and are set to expire on December 31. To help pay for these tax cuts, which will cost an estimated $4.5 trillion over ten years, Congress will likely seek to cut $50 billion from federal employee pay and benefits.
Take action to urge Senate and House members to not cut federal employee pay and benefits as Congress seeks to pay for massive tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefit the wealthiest Americans by:
-
Raising FERS Contribution Rates for all federal employees, regardless of when they joined the workforce, to 4.4 Percent.
-
Eliminating FERS Supplemental Retirement Payments
-
Basing FERS Retiree Benefit on High-5 Instead of High-3 Salary
-
Raising employee premiums for Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB)
Your voice is crucial to stop cuts to federal employee pay and benefits. TAKE ACTION NOW!
