Team -  Need to be honest and transparent. Tino, my finance director, is slightly mad at me. Even though my team wants me out at the protests and rallies that are going on, my finance director is doing his job to try to keep me focused on fundraising—by being on the phone.

However, what’s going on outside on the streets is more important than fundraising (or my campaign) right now. We need to come together and demand justice and I feel strongly about being out there, standing in solidarity, and rallying with all of you.

Being an advocate and fighting for basic human rights is part of my DNA. I also do understand the importance of fundraising and, honestly, my campaign relies on it. I don’t take corporate PAC money. My campaign is fueled through grassroots donations from hard working Americans unlike my GOP opponent who relies almost solely on corporate contributions.

We need you. I need you. Let’s keep looking out for each other and if you are able, help me win in two weeks by contributing now.
