Hi there,

A recent study by the American Hospital Association found that hospitals and health systems responding to the COVID-19 pandemic will incur more than $200 billion in losses through June.

Congress took an important step in the right direction to address that problem when they passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, but more is needed to ensure doctors, nurses, and all hospital staff on the front lines have the necessary resources to continue providing quality care.

Email your lawmakers now and tell them to prioritize patient care, by providing hospitals and health systems vital funding they need.

To make sure hospitals and health systems can continue to provide care to their communities during these unprecedented times, it is imperative that Congress' next relief package includes:
  • Support for hospital heroes, including coverage for child care, transportation, and educational benefits.
  • Forgiveness of Medicare accelerated payments to make it easier for hospitals to recover and rebuild while providing crucial patient care.
  • Preserving and building on health insurance coverage by maintaining coverage for individuals and families and expanding coverage options for the uninsured.
  • Liability protections for facilities and front-line medical providers treating patients amid the COVID-19 crisis.
Though lawmakers are still negotiating the next coronavirus legislation, we know from previous bills that once it hits the floor it will move very quickly — so we need to act now. With every letter, our message becomes harder to ignore. We must keep the pressure on Congress to make sure they prioritize patient care.

Send a letter to your lawmakers today!
