Congresswoman Becca Balint is Jewish, a woman, and openly gay. Hate comes at her every day, yet every day she fights back against the Trump Administration. But it’s not because she’s fearless. Rep. Balint knows there is good reason for fear and that it is up to us all to push past the fear and fight for the country we love, the people we love, and our futures. The time for purity tests has passed. It’s strength-in-numbers time when the only litmus test is: do you believe in democracy and the rule of law? Yes? Protests are again taking place around the country again this weekend. Grab friends, family, and community members and show up. Be loud. If you can’t be there in person, spread information about where people can get involved. More information is always better.
