Add your name: Tell Congress that the USPS is not for sale >>
John, President Trump and former Postmaster General Louis DeJoy have already done serious damage to our Postal Service – like shutting down key distribution centers, slowing mail delivery in rural communities, and hiking the price of stamps.
But now, as Trump continues his threats to privatize our USPS – We The People are fighting back.
Postal workers and advocates are sounding the alarm, holding a day of action in over 150 cities across the United States last month. They called attention to the real-life consequences of Trump’s reckless cuts to this public service: higher prices and slower delivery, all to save billionaires money. [1]
John, let’s join them. If you agree we can’t tolerate any disruption to this crucial public good, join us today in telling Congress: Protect our Postal Service from Trump’s takeover >>
Even with his loyalist, Louis DeJoy, out of office – Trump is still trying to take total control over our Postal Service.
Here’s the problem with his plan: The Postal Service is a public good guaranteed by our Constitution, which grants Congress authority over the USPS – NOT the President. [2]
As we’ve seen in the first few months of President Trump and Elon Musk’s regime, they don’t care about following the Constitution.
But for each of their harmful acts, Americans will pay a real price. We’re all worse off if we lose our Postal Service – especially rural communities, seniors receiving medicine, and small businesses that rely on timely mail delivery.
John, if you agree we can’t let that happen, will you add your name to demand Congress protect our Postal Service and STOP Trump’s hostile takeover?
Thanks for all you do,
The team at Common Cause
