Campaign Everywhere: How OKDEMS is Building the Movement to Win Big in 2026

If you're like me, you think candidate announcements are exciting. Especially when hardworking, proven leaders put their names forward to fight for all of us.

But you might be asking yourself what we can be doing over 500 days out to build a winning coalition. That's where our program "Campaign Everywhere" comes in. 

This program, which FLIPPED red seats last year in both Wisconsin and North Carolina, equips our County Parties and other grassroots organizations with the tools they need to recruit Democratic candidates across the ballot. 

In Oklahoma, we've set a goal to recruit a candidate in every state legislative seat. While many of these races are stacked against us through gerrymandering or lack of Democratic registration, this strategy of losing by less and fighting back every where is proven to help the top of the ticket. 

Rebuilding Democratic capacity across the state, and even in Republican strongholds, is crucial to making the Democratic promise of working for all Oklahomans real.
