In the last few weeks, I have held multiple town halls that were packed with hundreds of constituents, oftentimes overflowing capacity, and listened to what is on their minds. These aren't my only town halls, and they certainly won't be my last.

People across the district (and across the country) are scared, angry, and aware of what is happening in the White House. But they are also engaged and passionate, having many questions and looking for answers.

President Trump is gutting critical programs like Medicaid, food safety, public education, research, and so much more, signing executive orders that directly attack legal citizens and their children, and causing costs to skyrocket.

This is causing uncertainty and fear amongst my constituents, and I will not stand idly by. What they need right now is someone to listen and promise to fight for them in Congress, and that’s exactly what I’m doing.

The community has shown that they are ready to work together and fight against threats from the Trump administration. Recently, I’ve seen crowds of familiar and new faces at the Hands Off Rallies, and many new faces at town halls.

Now, it’s up to us to take action. I’m hosting more town halls, and I’m prepared to listen and prioritize my constituents' needs and concerns when I go back to Washington D.C. I know I have a target on my back, but I won’t back down to President Trump and the GOP’s threats.
