We need to talk about the Republican front-runner for Governor: Winsome Earle-Sears.

Here are just a handful of the things she’s said on the campaign trail:

❌She supports an abortion ban “similar to the law that took effect in Texas” that bans abortion before most people know they are pregnant.

❌As Lieutenant Governor presiding over the State Senate, she attempted to BLOCK legislation to guarantee the right to access contraception, stating that she just “couldn’t resist” taking a stand against birth control.

❌She claims to be “standing shoulder to shoulder” with the far-right fight against IVF.

❌She stands "proudly" with President Trump as his administration works to dismantle our democracy, destroy our economy, and undo decades of progress for women's rights.

Former Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger, the Democratic nominee for Governor, on the other hand, has vowed to stand up for and protect reproductive freedom in Virginia. And here’s the thing: according to a survey conducted by the Wason Center earlier this year, she holds a 5-point lead over her anti-choice opponent.
