The Latest
Taxpayers Likely on the Hook for Dem Senator’s PR Stunt
Not a good look.
The optics surrounding Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s desperate trip to El Salvador
to rescue a deported illegal alien are growing worse by the day.
The DOJ has released more evidence of Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s ties to MS-13.
Patty Morin, who lost a daughter to an illegal alien, called out the senator
for ignoring her. And newly surfaced documents revealed that Garcia’s wife
accused him of repeated domestic abuse.
According to a report, Senate aides familiar with congressional travel believe
the trip was likely a Congressional Member Delegation and, therefore, funded by
tax dollars.
“If I had to bet, this trip was funded with taxpayer dollars. Regardless,
it’s insane that Democrats are more concerned about illegal immigrant gang
members being sent home than their constituents' safety,” a Senate aide said.

Trump Keeps the Warmongers at Bay
Israel and the Iran warmongers, still lurking in the swamp, almost had their
way triggering World War III.
According to The New York Times, Israel planned a strike on Iranian nuclear
sites but President Trump waved them off, instead favoring negotiation with the
Ayatollah regime and giving Tehran a deadline for a nuclear deal.
Earlier in April, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard presented a
new assessment that a U.S. weaponry build-up due to the potential Israeli
strike might spark a wider conflict with Iran.
Well, duh. It doesn’t take a national security/foreign policy genius to grasp
that helping the Israelis bomb Iran would drag America straight into World War
III. And, of course, it seems Israel automatically assumed we would assist
their insane strategy.
Thankfully, numerous Trump officials, including JD Vance, Pete Hegseth, White
House chief of staff Susie Wiles, and even the more hawkish Mike Waltz, all
voiced skepticism of Israel’s plan.
Israel and permanent Washington want nothing more than an all-out war with
Iran. We all know how it would end. Not well, to say the least.

Champagne Socialists Bernie, AOC Take Private Jet on ‘Fight Oligarchy’ Tour
The champagne socialists are back and ritzier than ever.
Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez love to lecture ordinary
Americans about the evils of capitalism and how the rich have hijacked politics.
Yet for all their blustery criticisms of the ultra-rich, they sure do love to
dabble in the privileges of the elite.
Sanders and AOC reportedly chartered a Bombardier Challenger private jet for
stops in Bakersfield, Salt Lake City, and Boise, during their joint “Fighting
Oligarchy” tour. The jet costs a whopping $15,000 an hour, according to the
report.
A passenger previously spotted AOC flying first-class on a JetBlue flight from
JFK to Las Vegas, where she hosted rallies alongside Sanders.
At the end of the day, first class on JetBlue is pretty gauche. We’re happy
she got her upgrade and is now flying in real luxury.

Judge Deals Massive Antitrust Blow to Google
Google’s online empire might be starting to crumble.
A federal judge and Clinton-era appointee delivered a massive win for the DOJ
in its crackdown on Big Tech, ruling Thursday that Google illegally monopolized
the online ad technology market.
The DOJ has long alleged that Google's ad business crushes competition and
gives the company complete control over the ad supply chain from both the buy
and sell sides.
U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema finally dropped the hammer Thursday,
ruling that Google used anticompetitive practices to dominate the digital ad
space in publisher ad servers and ad exchanges, both of which underpin most
online ad transactions.
"Google has violated Section 2 of the Sherman Act by willfully acquiring and
maintaining monopoly power in the open-web display publisher ad server market
and the open-web display ad exchange market, and has unlawfully tied its
publisher ad server (DFP) and ad exchange (AdX) in violation of Sections 1 and
2 of the Sherman Act," the judge wrote.

Grand Jury Indicts The Left’s Favorite Assassin on Federal Charges
The left’s favorite assassin is now eligible for the death penalty after a
grand jury indictment Thursday.
A New York federal grand jury charged 26-year-old Luigi Mangione on two counts
of stalking, a firearms offense and murder through the use of a firearm, a
charge that makes him eligible for the death penalty if convicted.
Attorney General Pam Bondi previously announced that the federal government
would seek the death penalty “after careful consideration.”
“Luigi Mangione’s murder of Brian Thompson — an innocent man and father of
two young children — was a premeditated, cold-blooded assassination that
shocked America," Bondi wrote. "After careful consideration, I have directed
federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty in this case as we carry out
President Trump’s agenda to stop violent crime and Make America Safe Again.”
If there’s anyone hit hard by the latest news in Mangione’s case, it’s his
biggest fan girl, of course: Taylor Lorenz.

‘WRONG’: Trump Has Harsh Words for Fed Chairman Powell
President Trump and Jerome Powell aren’t exactly simpatico.
In a social media post Thursday, Trump ripped the Federal Reserve chairman’s
warning that global tariff policies may harm the U.S. economy and suggested
he’s not lowering interest rates quickly enough compared to the European
Central Bank, which has already cut rates.
“Jerome Powell of the Fed, who is always TOO LATE AND WRONG, yesterday issued
a report which was another, and typical, complete ‘mess!’ the president wrote.
“Powell’s termination cannot come fast enough!”
Later in the day, Trump doubled down on his criticism of Powell, telling
reporters in the White House that Powell may soon be out of a job.
“If I want him out, he’ll be out of there real fast, believe me,” Trump said.
“If I ask him to, he’ll be out of there. I don’t think he’s doing the job. He’s
too late. Always too late. A little slow. And I’m not happy with him. I let him
know it.”
Powell argued Wednesday that the Federal Reserve’s best course of action is to
sit tight and see how Trump’s economic policies play out.

Tulsi Pulls Back Curtain on Biden’s ‘Domestic Terrorism’ Scheme
Remember when the Biden administration used the pretext of “domestic
terrorism” to go after conservative moms protesting their local school board
meetings?
Well, the administration also used that same pretext to go after gun owners.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard pulled back another curtain
Wednesday on President Joe Biden’s covert ploy to chip away at the Second
Amendment.
Gabbard unclassified an alarming document that detailed the Biden
administration’s attempt to restrict gun ownership under the pretext of
“domestic terrorism.”
According to the document, the administration directed officials to “rein in
the proliferation of ‘ghost guns’” and “encourage state adoption of extreme
risk protection orders” that allow judges to strip gun rights from citizens
deemed dangerous. The document also revealed that a ban on “assault weapons and
high-capacity magazines” fell under the administration’s so-called
counterterrorism strategy.
Gun Owners of America, a Second Amendment group, deemed the document "Biden's
secret plan to eliminate the Second Amendment in the name of
'counterterrorism.'"

GOP Needs to Get Serious About Harvard
Republicans need to get serious in their battle against Harvard and other
universities that have undermined America while reaping all of its generous
benefits.
On Wednesday, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced that her agency is
canceling two of its own grants, totaling $2.7 million, to Harvard University
as part of the administration’s crackdown on so-called campus “antisemitism.”
“Harvard bending the knee to antisemitism — driven by its spineless
leadership — fuels a cesspool of extremist riots and threatens our national
security,” Noem said in a press release. “With anti-American, pro-Hamas
ideology poisoning its campus and classrooms, Harvard’s position as a top
institution of higher learning is a distant memory. America demands more from
universities entrusted with taxpayer dollars.”
Noem added, “With a $53.2 billion endowment, Harvard can fund its own
chaos—DHS won’t.”
And she’s exactly right. Harvard still has a ginormous endowment, essentially
a hedge fund. Harvard can still fund its “chaos,” while leeching off the
American people and dodging taxes with its special exempt status.
$2.7 million cut in grants? That won’t cut it. It’s a drop of water in the
ocean.
Even the Trump administration’s recent funding freezes aren’t good enough. A
billion here, a billion there. Will that actually make a difference in the long
run if Harvard’s endowment is $53.2 billion?
Of course not.
For far too long, American universities have gotten away with murder. Their
endowments have ballooned, but the quality of their product has suffered.
Tuition is grossly expensive. Schools spend more money on stadiums and gyms
than they do on educating students.
In the upcoming reconciliation package, which will pave the way for Trump’s
agenda, Republicans have a golden opportunity to get serious and revoke
Harvard’s tax exempt status. That’s the jugular that will severely wound the
beast. If you force the universities to actually pay taxes on their obscene
endowments, things on campuses will start to change.
Enough of the ‘antisemitism’ virtue-signaling and deportations of
international students – none of it will make a lasting difference.
Stripping the special tax exempt status will. It’s a slam dunk issue, and
Republicans have no excuse not to deliver.

This Day in History
April 18, 1906: A massive, 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck San Francisco at
5:12 a.m., razing entire neighborhoods to the ground and triggering fires that
lasted for several days. Even regions hundreds of miles from San Francisco
experienced high-intensity shaking. All in all, the natural disaster left over
3,000 people dead and destroyed 80% of the city. It remains the deadliest
earthquake in U.S. history and the deadliest natural disaster in California
state history.
