Democrats are working hard to keep Wisconsinites healthy. Republicans would rather give the rich a tax break by taking away health care access from the rest of us. Chip in to help us fight back >>>

John, I spent years as a health care practitioner, and I saw what happens when folks can’t get the preventative primary care we all need to stay healthy.

Serious health conditions that could’ve been caught earlier, long term illnesses that go unmanaged — none of it is good.

The Affordable Care Act helped change that — including by allowing states to expand Medicaid eligibility.

Now, Wisconsin is one of only 10 states that hasn’t expanded Medicaid fully, and it’s costing us in health outcomes AND tax dollars. I tried introducing a bill to pass Medicaid Expansion when I served in the Assembly. Republicans refused to even hear it out. It makes no sense.

And it gets worse. Over in Washington, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and their GOP allies would rather cut funding for Medicaid and strip away health care access from millions of Americans who need it, all to cover a tax cut for the richest few.

Look, when my dad got sick, I had to help him get on Medicaid. It was one of the toughest things I’ve ever done. I know the system isn’t perfect — but it’s a critical lifeline for Wisconsinites and their families, including mine.

John, we need to fight for health care access by advocating for Medicaid Expansion in WI and standing up to the Trump-Musk Administration’s planned cuts. Democrats here and across the country are fighting hard — but we need your help. Can you pitch in to help keep the pressure up?
