Jonathan Jackson for Congress

John,

House Republicans just passed the so-called 'SAVE Act,' their latest attempt at voter suppression that could disenfranchise millions of Americans.

Do you support Republicans’ efforts to make voting more difficult through the 'SAVE Act'?

YES »
NO »

Republicans claim that this bill is about election integrity but let’s be clear about what this is really about: Intimidating, confusing, and ultimately blocking marginalized communities from exercising their fundamental right to vote. It’s about silencing voters, John.

It would force every voter to provide a passport or birth certificate every time they register or update their voter registration, effectively ending online and mail-in voter registration.

It would create unnecessary barriers for numerous eligible voters, disproportionately impacting Black, Brown, Indigenous, immigrant, low-income, and elderly communities.

The 'SAVE Act' would have devastating effects on who gets access to the ballot box and threatens to undo a century of progress. Progress that people like Jonathan’s father, Jesse Jackson Sr., fought so hard for.

Jonathan vehemently voted “NO” and opposes this legislation that undermines the fundamental right to vote. Now, we want to know what you think. Will you take our survey below?
