Every summer, no matter what is going on in our politics, there’s one thing my team and I look forward to as a group — our Democracy Summer fellows. This year is no different. To be honest, I think we need spirited, enthusiastic young people around the campaign office more than ever right now.
In case you missed it — our campaign is a proud partner with Democracy Summer, a unique fellowship that shows young people of high school and college age the ropes of Democratic organizing and campaigning by embedding them in actual campaign teams like ours.
It’s an incredible program that builds the bench for Democratic campaign staff and lowers the barrier of entry for young people who want to learn where they might fit in our political ecosystem. I’m honored to participate every summer, and my team couldn’t be more excited to start getting applications rolling in.
On that note, applications are now officially open, and the priority deadline to apply is Friday, April 25th. I have two ways for you to get involved and help us with our fellows this year:

Fellows are immersed in the day-to-day of campaigning and get to hear from political leaders, policy experts, and so much more. It’s so valuable to have young voices bringing new perspectives and some fun into this work. It’s truly a win-win for us all.
