Missouri Net News [link removed] Resurrection Hosts Forgiveness Summit
Research has consistently shown that forgiveness can lead to improved physical and mental health, yet many of us cling to our pain, anger and fear, and struggle to move forward. The Forgiveness Summit at Resurrection, a United Methodist Church in the Kansas City area, on May 30-31 will bring together renowned speakers and experts who will guide participants through the transformative process of experiencing the freedom that comes from forgiveness. The Forgiveness Summit runs Friday, May 30, from 6 – 9 pm and Saturday, May 31 from 9 am – 3:30 pm. Over two days you will experience powerful worship and hear the testimonies of some of
the nation’s most notable thought leaders as they share valuable insights and practical tools from their own personal stories of forgiveness to help you release resentment, heal past wounds, and cultivate lasting peace within yourself and your relationships.
Individuals may attend the Summit in-person in the Resurrection Leawood Sanctuary (Building A, 5009 W. 137th Street, Leawood, KS), or online through a provided streaming link. Registration information and details are at: [link removed] www.resurrection.church/forgivenesssummit/.

Ecumenical Earth Day Prayer Service
Tuesday, April 22, 2025 @ Noon
Inspired by Creation Justice Ministries' 2025 annual resource, The Power of God: From Extractive Theology to Transformative Faith, this service will lead participants into a time of prayer and reflection, centered around seven original pieces of music produced for the resource. Derrick Weston, Creation Justice Ministries' director of theological education and formation will offer a reflection and the service will include new music commissioned for the Earth Day resource. Join them online for this ecumenical service of music, prayer, and contemplation as we consider how God's power renews us and how we might use our power to renew Creation.
