Last week, the House greenlit a budget bill that sets the stage for devastating cuts to Medicaid. But together we are going to stop it.
Congress has made clear that its number one priority is passing massive new tax breaks for billionaires – paid for by a shocking $1.5 trillion in cuts which could rip life-saving health care coverage away from millions of families and countless care workers.
But here's the thing, John: members of Congress, especially those in competitive districts, are already nervous – they know that gutting Medicaid to give more money to billionaires is not a good look. Together we can increase the pressure even more and force them to protect Medicaid and vote ‘no’ on this bill.
Congress wants to pass the bill cutting Medicaid in the next few weeks, which means we have to mobilize NOW. Will you urgently send a message to Congress right now?

This community knows firsthand how fragile our healthcare system is for those who depend on it most. 1 in 5 Americans rely on Medicaid for essential health services , and among them are countless domestic workers who devote their lives to caring for others.
This budget bill doesn’t just tighten purse strings – it threatens to pull the rug out from under those who need it most .
Right now, Congress is looking to cut a shocking $880 BILLION or more from Medicaid, which would strip away coverage from the families, children, and individuals who need it most - and domestic workers and caregivers will be disproportionately impacted. These cuts would not just dismantle their access to care, it would destroy the entire care system. Why? All to pay for TRILLIONS in tax cuts for billionaires.
We will not accept this cruel plan, which is why we need everyone to take action to overwhelm Congress with opposition . John, will you send a powerful message to your representatives right now?

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.
Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
