Cornyn Calls on DOJ to Investigate EPIC City Following Accusations of Religious Discrimination, Sharia Law - U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon urging the Department of Justice (DOJ) to open an investigation into the East Plano Islamic Center’s (EPIC) planned Muslim community, EPIC Ranches City, in Josephine, Texas, which is under state investigation by Governor Abbott and has been accused of risking religious discrimination of Christians, Jews, and other non-Muslim minorities.
