| John, During this unprecedented health and economic crisis, we need to implement solutions to keep Americans safe. We’re lucky that here in Iowa we took the step of mailing an absentee ballot application to every eligible voter, leading to record voter turnout. But unfortunately, a GOP-led initiative in the state legislature is trying to prevent sending out absentee ballot applications in the fall. We need to prepare for the real possibility that the coronavirus will be just as big a threat this fall -- and take steps to ensure that all eligible voters can safely cast their vote in November. That’s why we need to enact universal vote-by-mail for the election in November, so every voter can cast their ballot safely from home. Can you add your name to our petition? Voting by mail is the safest and most secure way for everyone to make their voice heard while preventing the spread of COVID-19. That’s why J.D.
