Dear John,

A new bill in the North Carolina General Assembly not only threatens our transition to cheaper, more sustainable energy, but also threatens growing local economies by disincentivizing solar development. This bill could cause existing solar projects to close, leaving the landowners (many of whom are farmers) without promised income, counties without taxes they were counting on, and could also increase energy bills for ratepayers statewide.

Additionally, the NC solar industry employs nearly 7,000 North Carolinians and has delivered over $15 billion in investments, many of which are in the most economically distressed counties in the state.
