Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia is a father, a union worker, and a valued member of our Maryland community. But today, he's sitting in a Salvadoran prison after being ripped from his home by ICE, despite a standing court order that should have protected him.
ICE deported Kilmar in clear violation of that order. A federal judge has said plainly: “This was an illegal act.” But instead of taking responsibility, the government is calling this an “administrative error” and refusing to act. President Trump and ICE are ignoring the law, ignoring due process, and ignoring Kilmar’s humanity. Kilmar’s three young children are here. His wife is here. His home is here. And we must raise our voices to bring him back.
