Dearborn Heights Man to Stand Trial on Sexual Assault Charges

*LANSING *– Yesterday, Jordan Wagner, 31, formerly of Dearborn Heights and most recently residing in Guam, was bound over to stand trial in the 3rd Circuit Court in Wayne County on one count of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and three counts of Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. Wagner was extradited back to Wayne County from Guam in September 2024 [ [link removed] ] to face charges as part of Operation Survivor Justice [ [link removed] ].

Wagner is accused of sexually assaulting a pre-teen relative during a brief visit to her home in 2012. The victim reported the attack eight years later in 2020, and Wagner was charged by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office with the four felony counts in December of that year. At that time, it was known that Wagner was residing in Guam, but extradition proved cost-prohibitive for local agencies.

Extraditions through Operation Survivor Justice were funded last year by a $1 million state appropriation. The Operation is a partnership between the Michigan Department of Attorney General, local county prosecutors, and the U.S. Marshals Service to locate, apprehend, and return to Michigan fugitive offenders with outstanding sexual assault warrants.

“Cold case sex-assault cases that are left unsolved leave survivors without closure and perpetrators without accountability,” Nessel said. “I am pleased to see another case proceed through the judicial system as part of Operation Survivor Justice.”

Wagner will next appear before the 3rd Circuit Court on April 23.
