After unlawfully cutting federal funding for North Carolina’s health services and medical research, Trump and Elon Musk are now targeting federal workers who defend our public health and safety. Will you take a minute to sign my petition to stand up for federal health workers and protect the vital services that our children, families, and communities rely on?

I know it’s a lot to take in, so let me break it down for you:

FIRST: Last week, Trump eliminated 10,000 jobs across the Department of Health and Human Services — impacting agencies like the CDC, NIH, and FDA that provide well-paying jobs, research funding, and health services in our Research Triangle.

THEN: Because of the massive layoffs, North Carolina’s seniors, disabled, and low-income people are at risk of losing critical services. Informational websites and hotlines for food safety are seeing outages, and programs like Meals on Wheels are at risk of shutting down.

NOW: Trump is gearing for even more layoffs and funding cuts at the HHS and it’s on ALL OF US to stand up for the health and well-being of our children, families, and communities.
