Notice of Public Meeting, Osage Improvement & Service District, Osage Lagoon System Upgrades & Osage Sewer System Upgrades

The Osage Improvement and Service District of Osage, Wyoming will conduct a public meeting at 5:30pm on May 15, 2025 in meeting room #1 at Kitty Moats Complex. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the Osage Sewer main replacement on McGrew St., Metz St. and North Park St. and the Osage Sewer lagoon upgrades.

The sewer mains on those streets listed above are failing, have Orangeburg pipe in them and need to replaced in order to insure clean water and a healthy environment for our citizens. The sewer lagoon needs to be divided, the berms raised, and the weir boards replaced in order to be more efficient and prevent any health issues to our citizens.

At the meeting the Osage Improvement and Service District will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates and the funding plan can also be reviewed at Kitty Moats Complex. Please contact Janice Heard at 307-465-2407.

Based on current cost estimates, the Osage Improvement and Service District plans to borrow $1,500,00.00 at an interest rate of 0.75% for the sewer main replacements and $250,000.00 at an interest rate of 0.75% to complete the lagoon project from the Wyoming Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investment Board. Increased user fees will be used to repay the loans. The average rate increase is estimated to be 2.5% for an $8.00 increase on active sewer accounts to repay the loans.
