This is the fight of our lives. We do not take up arms in this fight, but we do raise our voices. We flood the polls. We organize, we support each other, we win.
I have had enough of Washington failing to address the most pressing issues of our time. Frank Pallone and the establishment present status-quo “solutions” and tell us they can’t make bigger changes because they need “buy-in” from “stakeholders.” You know what that sounds like? That sounds like Washington weasel words for “I need to make my corporate donors happy.”
Well I’m not going to fall for it. I’m not going to get sucked into the system where big donors call up their puppets and negotiate away our future. I have pledged not to accept corporate money, ever, because “we the people” should never mean “we the corporations.”
But that means I am relying on small dollar donations - $5, $18, $27 - to fuel my campaign. If you can chip in any amount, you will be showing Big Pharma, Big Oil, and Wall Street that their dollars only buy them so much influence.
I am going to Washington to change the unjust, corrupt system and to help save our country and our planet. But to achieve those goals, I have to get to Congress first.
