I know that it can feel like we are in a dark time right now. The Trump administration’s actions have caused unnecessary confusion, chaos, and a great deal of fear.

But I want you to know that myself and other Democratic governors across the country are standing up to the instability in Washington, D.C.

We are standing with our people, we will defend our people, and we will protect our people.

So today, I’m reaching out to ask you to help inform our fight for progress by answering one simple question.

What do you want to see Democratic governors focus on right now?

John, I believe that real leadership means lifting people up, not punching down.

From their senseless plot to dismantle the Department of Education to firing tens of thousands of public servants and targeting programs like Medicaid and SNAP, it seems that the Trump administration gains their strength from stomping on others.

Over the past 87 days, Democratic governors have remained clear-headed, steady, and ready to lead. We are already taking action to codify our progress into law, protect freedoms, and defend our rights.

- Here in Maryland, we enshrined reproductive freedom into our State Constitution.

- In Wisconsin, Governor Evers is working to lower prescription drug prices and protect consumers from medication price gouging.

- In Michigan, Governor Whitmer signed 16 bills expanding access to contraception and removing barriers to reproductive care.

But these fights are only getting tougher and this battle is only just beginning, so we need your support, John.
