We always feared that Donald Trump would claim to be above the law. Now
those fears are coming true in a shocking and gruesome manner.
Despite a 9-0 Supreme Court ruling declaring that Kilmar Abrego Garcia
must remain in the United States, he is currently sitting in an El
Salvadorian prison designed for dangerous criminals. He is in fear for his
life, worried that he may never see his family again.
This concerns each and every one of us: if Donald Trump can illegally
deport whoever he wants without fear of consequences, even when the
highest court of the land orders him to take action, then what's going to
stop him from doing it again? To his political rivals? To anyone who he
wants gone?
This is scary: that's why we need to act quickly.
