Dear John,

We’re excited to announce the launch of the second cohort of the Families Invested in Reforming Education (FIRE) fellowship, with applications opening today.

Last year, 50CAN launched the FIRE fellowship, empowering parents, advocates, educators and leaders to become community changemakers. Led by National Organizing Manager Steven Quinn, fellows received in-depth training on how to advance policies, from building successful campaigns to creating social movements that champion causes important to their community. In December, we celebrated the graduation of our inaugural cohort. Since then, these 27 graduates have made a powerful impact, sharing their personal stories with local media, engaging families on school options and advocating for policy changes at their statehouses.

Apply to 50CAN's FIRE Fellowship

This six-week virtual training program provides aspiring advocates with the advocacy skills and the tools they need to drive change. Open to parents invested in improving our education system from all 50 states, it's perfect for those beginning their advocacy journey.

The application window will be open until Friday, May 2. You can apply for the next cohort here

For any questions about the program please reach out to Steven.
