WHAT'S HAPPENING
REPUBLICANS SEE RECORD VOTER TURNOUT IN PRIMARY ELECTION
The General Election is now underway after a strong Republican voter turnout in the New Mexico Primary. Mark Ronchetti grabbed the U.S. Senate nomination, while Michelle Garcia Holmes, Yvette Herrell, and Alexis Johnson won their respective Congressional primaries. Republicans are running in a record 101 legislative races up and down the ballot to turn New Mexico red in November. This election also saw record voter turnout and an energized Republican Party heading into the election season despite the Secretary of State’s massive failure in conducting the election which resulted in delayed results, missing absentee ballots, and confusion for voters.

Here is the story from the Albuquerque Journal. ([link removed])

PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATS BOOT INCUMBENTS OUT OF THE ROUNDHOUSE THIS PRIMARY
Last week’s Primary saw a number of progressive Democrats win nominations, defeating their more conservative party members. Progressives were able to unseat party leaders who have been in office for decades and will continue their attack on conservative-leaning Democrats. They will take their big-spending, pro-choice and tax-raising progressive agenda to the Roundhouse if they win in November - we cannot let this happen. We must vote red this November to ensure that New Mexico is not overrun by progressives. Vote for traditional New Mexico values and fiscal responsibility.

GOV. LUJAN GRISHAM'S SLOW REOPENING OF OUR ECONOMY CONTINUES TO HURT THE STATE
The governor’s slow and partial reopening of the state has dramatically decimated our state’s economy, hurting small businesses and "non-essential" workers the most. New Mexico has been ready to reopen for a long time. The governor continues to drag out the state’s reopening, destroying the livelihood of our citizens. She continues to be discriminatory and inequitable in her handling of reopening establishments. Restaurants at 50% capacity, salons at 25%, and other establishments with various restrictions--it's an unjust and unfair Public Health Order.

GOV. LUJAN GRISHAM AND MAYOR KELLER CONTINUE TO IGNORE MASS GATHERING BAN AS PROTESTS CONTINUE IN ALBUQUERQUE

Protests in Albuquerque continued in the wake of violence and looting last weekend in Downtown Albuquerque. Demonstrators were protesting against the police brutality in the death of George Floyd when things got out of hand. A peaceful protest is one thing, and encouraged, but when people use these protests as an excuse to wreak havoc, this behavior must be condemned. Gov. Lujan Grisham, despite her own Health Order prohibiting mass gatherings, did nothing. She and Mayor Tim Keller did little to protect residents and property when the violence broke out.

NEW JUDICIAL CANDIDATE CONTRIBUTION FORMS

We wanted to inform you that another conservative candidate, Thomas C. Montoya, is running for Court of Appeals, Position 3. Mr. Montoya's candidacy will mean conservative Republicans will be running for all three appellate seats.

Mr. Montoya, born and raised in New Mexico, has been practicing divorce and family law for more than 38 years. He has an “A” preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings. He’s been named in Southwest Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America and Best of the Bar for Family Law by New Mexico Business Weekly. Mr. Montoya has also lobbied and testified more than 30 times on family law legislation and has acted as appellate counsel in a dozen cases. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California.

The next step is for Mr. Montoya's campaign to collect 1,253 $5 contributions. State law requires this because Mr. Montoya, like our other judicial candidates, has decided on public funding. The contributions are part of the electoral process. If his campaign gets the needed number of contributions, he will receive matching public funds.

By law, judicial candidates cannot ask for donations, nor can they accept contributions from interest groups.

The collected $5 contributions will go to the Public Election Fund.

Contributors can be ANY registered voter of any party, but it is imperative that they print their name and address on a Qualifying Contribution form as registered with the New Mexico Secretary of State.

Here’s the form for contributions. ([link removed])

The deadline for the 1,253 $5 contributions is June 12. Time is short, so please fill out the form and send your $5 contribution today.

Any checks must be made payable to the Public Election Fund with Mr. Montoya's name on the memo line or you can send cash.

The forms with enclosed contributions should be mailed to:

Joe MacLeod
Campaign Treasurer
5150-A San Francisco Rd., NE
Albuquerque, NM 87109

Contributions can also be mailed to:

RPNM
P.O. Box 94083
Albuquerque, NM 87199-4083

Thank you all again for your drive and commitment as we work together to turn our state red.

I was born and raised in Santa Fe and moved to Albuquerque in 2011 to run my families supply company.
