Chair's Corner
Aloha Fellow Republicans,
As we all know, the party should be committed to law and order, fairness, and transparency, it is essential that we embody the very values we advocate. These are traits that we need to apply to instances where our own internal processes in all we do, especially our State, Precinct, County, and District election meetings...should be held in accordance with our bylaws. Together we should strive for integrity if we are to continue on the path of success and if we wish to maintain credibility with our constituents and uphold the principles we so passionately promote.
Integrity begins at home. If we demand fair and transparent elections statewide and nationally, we must first ensure the same standard within our party operations. Chairs and committees must remember that our bylaws are not optional guidelines—they are mandatory directives that must be adhered to rigorously. Ignoring or bypassing rules undermines our credibility and weakens our foundation, and comprises the agreement we submit to the State to uphold the bylaws we create.
Now, Looking ahead, President Trump's recent executive order to implement paper ballots nationwide highlights the necessity of our precincts being robust, well-organized, and ready. Our precincts form the grassroots core of election integrity, and their readiness is crucial. Now more than ever, we need dedicated volunteers engaging directly with the Office of Elections, observing and participating actively to safeguard the integrity of the voting process.
I urge each one of us, from county chairs, district leaders, and precinct members, committee participants, to recommit to upholding the highest standards of accountability and transparency within our party. Let's demonstrate our principles through action, ensuring the Hawaii Republican Party is a model of integrity, preparedness, and responsible governance. We have no time for those who comprise the party and what it stands for. We need those who believe in all-around election integrity, the party, the people, the state, the country, and our President who is fighting for all of America.
Let us set the standard we seek, together!
With respect and resolve,
Tamara McKay
