friend,

You may have noticed that our workshop TikTok’ing the Revolution was postponed in solidarity with the digital and in-person actions taking place all over the world. We appreciate your patience and understanding— and we are excited to announce that the TikTok'ing the Revolution: The New Decade of Organizing workshop has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 11th at 1:00pm ET.

We appreciate those of you who have already registered and want to reassure you that the Zoom link you were sent will work for this rescheduled time. For those who have not registered, there is still time to register! Below is a description of the workshop. Join us as we step into the new decade of digital organizing.

With over 800 million active users worldwide, TikTok has become one of the fastest growing social media platforms in the world. In between the dances and challenges, there is a growing movement of radically political TikToks that are engaging a much younger and more diverse audience. These short videos are engaging an audience that is ready to have deeper conversations about how to dismantle systems of oppression. Join us on Thursday, June 11th at 1:00pm ET for our TikTok’ing the Revolution: The New Decade of Organizing Workshop!

During this workshop we will learn basic technical knowledge of TikTok, how to create content to combat the Koch Network, and how to engage a younger population and the next generation of organizers! Registration for this workshop is now open!

UnKoch My Campus is partnering with Gem Nwanne, a TikTok and Instagram activist who is using TikTok as a tool for political education, community accountability, and an archive of collective joy.

UnKoch My Campus is a cooperative campaign dedicated to disrupting corporate influence on campuses nationwide by equipping campus activists with education, skills, and ecosystems of solidarity. The Koch network is leveraging its donations to colleges and universities to bolster its corporate agenda to halt action on climate change, put hundreds of thousands of people in prison, deny millions of people healthcare, and strip rights and wages from workers globally. We're building a mass movement of young people who are dedicated to disrupting this harm.
