As Josh explained yesterday, we are currently being hit with a massive new attack campaign from one of the GOP’s biggest groups - and it came earlier than we ever expected.

Situational awareness: As you know, Josh’s seat is a toss-up district because he’s one of the few Democrats representing a district Trump won. Josh is literally at the top of Speaker Mike Johnson’s list of Democrats to take out. Josh also doesn’t accept corporate money which means all the special interests also aren’t fans of his (because they can’t control him). So, when you combine those two facts, it’s not a surprise that Josh is being attacked with large sums of money incredibly early in the cycle.

Our strategy: We’re quickly developing a plan on how we’re going to respond to the GOP’s new ad blitz. It’s going to include everything from early organizing investments to our first digital ads in Spanish. We know we have to respond to the ads quickly, and we know we have to do it in a way that spends our money wisely. We believe field and digital are two smart investments.
