Donald Trump’s disastrous trade war is wreaking havoc on the U.S. economy – but it looks like some of Trump’s top allies are using it to get rich off of insider trading.

Right before Trump “paused” some of his tariffs last week, he posted on social media “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY.”

And guess who took him up on it? Marjorie Taylor Greene. According to the NYT, Greene purchased tens of thousands of dollars in stock the day before and the day of Trump’s announcement.

And she’s not the only one. Trump bragged later that day that a couple of his billionaire buddies made hundreds of millions of dollars that day.  

Friend, we need a full independent investigation to determine whether Trump or his team manipulated the market to allow his allies to insider trade. And we need to finally BAN stock trading by members of Congress.
