** Ecuador: A Drop in Homicides,
------------------------------------------------------------
** But Will the Calm Last?
------------------------------------------------------------
Ecuador reported a decrease in homicides in 2024, but it is too soon to confirm whether the country is returning to the low levels of violence of past years. In what was the second-most deadly year in Ecuador’s history, murders rose near the end of 2024, suggesting that another wave of gang violence could be around the corner.
Be part of our exclusive event exploring homicide trends in Ecuador and other countries in the region, and uncover the data-driven stories behind our 10 years of analysis. In addition to the exclusive presentation featuring key data and graphics, participants will also receive our 2024 Homicide Round-Up in PDF format. Join us on April 28.
