Our Illinois State Divestment Campaign’s goal is to move billions of dollars away from dirty fossil fuels, while moving us towards a cleaner and safer future. Divestment will also help protect Illinois taxpayers and pensioners from climate-related losses and upheaval.

To have even more of an impact in Illinois, 350 Chicago has joined the Citizens Utility Board to fight for Utility Accountability and protect ratepayers from being charged for utilities’ lobbying expenses. Total savings from this initiative are projected to be $40M.
