Here in Maryland, we enjoy some of the strongest protections for abortion rights in the country. Our state constitution guarantees the right to reproductive freedom, and our shield laws ensure that providers can continue to offer care without fear of prosecution from states with cruel bans.

Across the country, extreme politicians are trying to chip away at those freedoms.

Tennessee already has some of the most extreme and restrictive abortion laws in the country, and now they’re threatening criminal charges against anyone who offers support or even just information about accessing reproductive care out of state—including states like Maryland, where abortion is legal.
