In the second episode of our series Complexity: Liberty vs Power ([link removed]) , we begin our focus with a look at the foundation of our complex society: the individual. Each of us have different skills, wants, and interests, the question is what is the best way to for each of us to come together to build a society that allows each of us to flourish.

On the one hand, we have liberty, markets, and the division of labor. On the other, we have those that want to ignore our differences and promote a society of equality. The former creates freedom, the latter sows the seeds for dystopian authoritarianism.
