Hello John,
On Friday, May 2, you’re invited to join a gathering of leaders, patrons, and cultural guardians for an evening celebrating the Western artistic tradition. Proceeds will support ISI educational programs that are passing on that tradition to the next generation.
Held at our stunning Linda L. Bean Center in the heart of the Brandywine Valley, ISI’s 18th Annual Gala will explore the theme Beauty Will Save America, a powerful affirmation that art and aesthetics are not luxuries, but rather the foundation of a flourishing civic life.
We’ll honor two titans of American art and culture:
- Dana Gioia, internationally acclaimed poet and former NEA Chair, will receive ISI’s Charles H. Hoeflich Lifetime Achievement Award and deliver our keynote address. Dana is more than a poet—he is a living advocate for the essential role of beauty in civic life.
- Jamie Wyeth, one of the greatest living realist painters and grandson of N.C. Wyeth, will receive the inaugural Linda L. Bean Prize for Advancing American Art & Culture. Jamie will also unveil a deeply personal, never-before-seen portrait of the late Linda L. Bean, former ISI trustee and beloved patroness of the arts.
Your presence at this event is a statement that beauty, craftsmanship, and cultural inheritance still matter—and still have the power to shape our national identity. All proceeds will support ISI’s mission to form the next generation of American leaders in the tradition of ordered liberty.
Sponsors at all levels will receive access to a VIP reception with event speakers and ISI trustees. Chairman and Keynote-level sponsors will also enjoy a private meet-and-greet with Dana Gioia in the ISI at President’s Office.
If you believe America is worth renewing, don’t miss this opportunity to invest in her cultural revival.
With gratitude,
John A. Burtka IV
President and CEO
