John,

I joined Jake Tapper on CNN this week because something deeply troubling is happening in Congress – and you deserve to know about it.

There are growing concerns about potential improper stock trades by members of Congress and others with access to material nonpublic information related to President Trump’s economic measures.

Let me be clear: We don't yet have all the answers yet. But the American people deserve transparency and accountability.

That’s why I’ve called on Speaker Mike Johnson to require full disclosure of any stock trades made by Members of Congress before, during, and after Trump’s announcement of a 90-day pause on certain tariffs.

And it’s why I’m renewing my call for a complete ban on individual stock trading by members of Congress , and why in the weeks and months ahead, we’ll be demanding that Speaker Johnson allow a vote on our bipartisan bill to ban member stock trading once and for all.

I’ve been fighting for this since I first ran for Congress in 2017. My wife and I divested our individual stocks and invested in mutual funds, because public service should never be about personal profit.

If you’re with me, I need your support: Will you chip in $3 to keep me fighting for you in Congress and holding this administration and those who profit from it accountable?

Whether it’s Republicans or Democrats, Congress should work for the people we’re elected to represent – not to enrich ourselves.

Thanks for being in this fight with me,

Mike
