Trump’s own Defense Secretary says the president is way out of line.
After Trump suggested he’d use a law passed in 1807 to deploy military troops to police American cities, Secretary Esper spoke out. According to The Hill, Esper objected “as secretary of Defense, but also as a former soldier and a former member of the National Guard” when he said he stood firmly against Trump’s plan.
Even Trump’s own cabinet is turning against their commander-in-chief -- and for military brass, that’s a tough thing to do.
