Americans shouldn't need millions of dollars to make sure their interests are represented in Washington.

Every year, we consistently see our elections get more expensive, and 2020 will undoubtedly have an even more outrageous price tag.

Nearly 10 years ago, the Citizens United Supreme Court decision allowed major corporations and organizations to use their power and wealth to buy influence in Washington.

We can’t let that continue. We need to reverse Citizens United. Sign our petition if you agree →

Since Citizens United, we’ve seen special-interest groups dump massive amounts of dark money into the political landscape to make sure their preferred policies become reality. You can see that influence and corruption in the endless attacks on affordable health care and every time sensible gun reforms are stopped in their tracks.

But last month, Democrats renewed a measure that would reverse Citizens United and return our democracy back to the people.

The charade that Citizens United isn't a corruptive force in our democracy has gone on long enough -- far too long, if you ask me.

Americans don’t have millions of dollars to make sure their interests are represented in Washington. They shouldn’t have to.

Add your name and call for an end to Citizens United.

With gratitude,

Sherrod
