The Trump administration has unjustly fired thousands of hardworking federal workers in Maryland who have committed their careers to public service.

These workers are hardworking civil servants who have devoted their lives to serving their communities. Every day, federal employees make a difference by safeguarding national security, maintaining our parks, or strengthening the nation’s infrastructure.

The Trump administration’s cuts to federal programs and agencies harm revenue and jeopardize the livelihoods of hardworking federal employees. I was proud to provide a declaration in support of the Maryland-led case to stop the reckless DOGE cuts to our federal agencies, and I will continue to advocate for Maryland’s federal workers.
