John, thank you for being part of the Need to Impeach campaign.

When we set up the petition in 2017, the facts were as plain then as they are now: Donald Trump is a criminal. He puts his and his family's interests over the American people, asks foreign governments to interfere in our elections, and will even go as far as torturing children at our borders for political gain. With a pandemic threatening millions of lives, he continues to lie.

You stood up for impeachment before it was popular — and then organized, voted, and stayed at it until it happened.

I hope you’re proud of that, John. I certainly am.

I’ve spent time this year reflecting on the Need to Impeach movement, my campaign for president, and what's next. We need Mr. Trump out of office. We also need a Democratic administration, Senate, and House dedicated to climate and racial justice, rebuilding our economy, and creating good-paying union jobs.

Every day between now and November 3, I’ll be working with voters and volunteers who know we absolutely need to turn out in huge numbers for Vice President Joe Biden — and I’m grateful to know you’ll be in this fight, too.

When you tell the story of this movement and your role in its history, remember: Donald Trump was impeached by the 116th Congress. His crimes were made public during the trial, and Republican Senators were forced to go on the record. That is a win.
