I know that hate will only win if people like me stand by and let it happen
John — Look at that. The fringe right-wing media is already attacking me.
Not for a scandal. Not for some gotcha moment.
No — they called me “vulgar” and “unlikable” because I had the audacity to speak out against hate.
The clip they played was from a speech I gave in 2022, after a sitting Michigan State Senator called me a “groomer” in a fundraising email. My response went viral because I said what needed to be said:
“I know that hate will only win if people like me stand by and let it happen.”
That speech—where I called out Republicans’ hollow, hateful culture wars—is now being used by Newsmax as “evidence” of my “lovely personality.”
Then the host (Carl, bless his heart) said I’m known for advocating for reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, renewable energy, and clean water.
Hey thanks Carl! Here’s what we did:
✅ I helped overturn Michigan’s antiquated abortion ban and expand access to care.
✅ We passed common-sense gun safety laws that are saving lives.
✅ And a decade after the Flint crisis, we passed the strongest protections in the country to keep lead out of our kids’ water.
These aren’t “culture war” talking points. These are real wins for real people like you. And now that I’m running for U.S. Senate, the attacks are only going to escalate.
Republicans want you distracted. Tired. Outraged over made-up nonsense. Why? Because when we’re focused? We win.
So, pick your issue. Join this fight. And let’s build something better—together.
Thanks for being in it with me,
Mallory
