Black Maternal Health Week (April 11–17) is here—and this year, we’re answering the call to take bold, collective action.

The theme of #BMHW25, “Healing Legacies: Strengthening Black Maternal Health Through Collective Action and Advocacy,” centers on the leadership, expertise, and deep-rooted work of Black-led perinatal, maternal, and reproductive health organizations. It calls on all of us to build a future where Black Mamas, families, and communities survive—and thrive.

At SiX, we know that building power at the state level means working in partnership with impacted communities. That means listening to Black Mamas, following their lead, and advocating for the policies and resources that affirm their right to respectful, high-quality, and culturally congruent care before, during, and after pregnancy.
