Did you see my team’s email yesterday? I wanted to follow up personally because we just learned the National Republican Congressional Committee launched their first major attack ad against me in the Valley.

Let’s be clear about what this actually means. If you are a persuadable voter in my district, now every time you scroll through social media you’ll see an ad blaming me for the tanking economy. (Yes obviously the stock market is tanking because of Trump’s tariffs, but the GOP will still somehow blame Democrats…).

The GOP is running a tried and true method - blame someone else for the problems they created. That’s why they are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars right now on these ads. They know their policies aren’t popular so they are trying to muddy the waters.

But the truth is that this strategy works. We can’t let these attacks go unanswered, especially this early in the race. I’ll also be honest with you - we didn’t expect attack ads this early. We didn’t build this into our budget and we don’t have the money to counter this right now. I refuse to take corporate PAC money, so without your support, we simply won’t have the resources to push back against these Republican attacks.
