We’ve made real progress in Washington State. Thanks to your support, we’ve passed some of the strongest gun safety laws in the country—laws that have saved lives, kept firearms out of dangerous hands, and made our communities safer.
But today, all of that is under threat.
The gun lobby is pushing a dangerous new ballot initiative that would roll back the years of hard-won progress we've achieved together in Washington. If they succeed, anyone could carry a loaded, concealed weapon—no permit, no training, no background check. Large capacity magazines and assault weapons would be back on our streets. Even the basic background checks that the vast majority of Americans support would be eliminated.
This isn’t just irresponsible—it’s reckless. And we cannot let it happen.
