Absolutely Brutal

Hi John,

I've just published a new blog post:

California is now facing at least 10 federal investigations for civil rights violations and other unlawful activity, several of which I requested. You can see my Floor Speech describing all ten here. Long story short: years of utter lawlessness have finally caught up with Gavin Newsom.

As Chair of the K-12 Education Subcommittee, I’m especially glad to see Newsom’s men-in-women’s-sports and anti-parental-notification policies under fire. As to the latter, our committee just passed a bill I sponsored, the PROTECT Kids Act, to restore parental rights.

Other investigations relate to High-Speed Rail and homelessness spending. And I’ve just requested another, asking DOJ to investigate why it’s so easy to defraud California. We've learned 34% of community college applications are fakes used to steal financial aid money.

And our efforts to overhaul universities are succeeding. After our hearings last term, half the Ivy League’s presidents lost their jobs; now, the Administration is demanding Harvard abolish DEI, protect free speech, and end racial and viewpoint discrimination – or lose $9 billion in funding.

Also in DC: I introduced the Election Results Accountability Act, to end the insanity of California taking a month to count votes. We also passed the SAVE Act, a bill I sponsored to require proof of citizenship to vote. And I introduced a landmark school choice bill.

I also spoke with The Dispatch for a brutal profile of Newsom, titled: “Gavin Newsom's Pivot to Nowhere.” I offered an assessment that everyone quoted agreed with: “He’s always shown a high level of interest in doing whatever will get him the most attention at any given moment."

Finally, AOC has flown first-class to my district today for a "Fighting Oligarchy" rally with Bernie. For some reason, they didn’t take me up on my offer to debate them. Truly, this might be the last gasp for socialism in California, as our movement for common sense keeps growing and winning.
