We lose out on over $600 billion in taxes every year that are owed but not paid.
That’s why when I was in Congress, I spearheaded full funding for the IRS enforcement division, because the rest of us lose out when ultra-wealthy tax cheats can dodge their taxes.
Now, Trump is cutting funding to the IRS. This won’t just make wait times longer for taxpayers who have a question. Dismantling the IRS is a giveaway to his cronies at the expense of working people. It means those tax cheats will get away with it.
