Last Day to Submit ROE Forms [ [link removed] ]

TODAY IS THE DAY!

Forms Need to Be Submitted for Properties with Fire Debris

Impacted LA County residents must *submit a Right of Entry form [ [link removed] ]* to opt-in to the government-run debris removal program or opt-out.

We understand the hardship the wildfires have caused and are committed to supporting you throughout the recovery process. *But action is required NOW!*

*If your property was affected, you must choose a debris removal option today if you haven't done so already. *If you do not submit an Opt-In or Opt-Out form, the government will initiate a process to remove fire debris from your property to protect public health and safety. In such event, you will be responsible for the full cost of the government’s fire debris removal activities at your property.

*Opt-In*: Submit a Right of Entry [ [link removed] ] form to allow the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to remove fire debris from your property at *no direct cost to you.*

*Opt-Out*: Complete an Opt-Out form [ [link removed] ] now, hire a licensed contractor, apply for the necessary permit, and complete debris cleanup *no later than June 30, 2025*.

Regardless of your insurance status, you qualify for government-sponsored debris removal at no upfront cost. If you have insurance, you may still use it for debris not covered by the program. The County will only seek reimbursement after your home is rebuilt or after debris covered by insurance has been removed.

If you have not opted into the Right of Entry program yet—today is the day. You can still change your mind and have the debris removed at your own expense but consider opting into the program to keep your options open.

*Submit the Right of Entry form here [ [link removed] ]. The form is available in Spanish [ [link removed] ], Russian [ [link removed] ], Armenian [ [link removed] ], Korean [ [link removed] ], and Simplified Chinese [ [link removed] ].
*

*Opting-Out: *If you choose to opt-out of the government debris removal program, you must submit an opt-out form here [ [link removed] ]. Property owners who choose to hire private contractors for fire debris removal can then receive an Eaton and Palisades Fire Debris Removal permit via the County’s EPIC-LA system [ [link removed] ]. This permit allows home and business owners—and their authorized private contractors—to manage their own debris removal efforts while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental standards. For more details, click here [ [link removed] ].

*How to Withdraw an ROE: *Residents can withdraw after submitting an ROE by submitting this Withdrawal Form [ [link removed] ].

The form is available on the recovery site here: _https://recovery.lacounty.gov/debris-removal/roe/_ [ [link removed] ]
